Branch

A branch is a store and its relevant surroundings, where goods are being ordered and delivered by suppliers, where goods are accepted and where other warehouse and non-warehouse operations plus other relevant clerical work is done and managed, for example, where the cash safe/vault is located or where supplier accounts, or attendance records are maintained.

A branch may have several warehousing units and control several smaller branches within itself. It is also possible to join (integrate) branch application into one PC (so-called large cash desk). This is used in one-cash-desk stores.

The branch database communicates online, (via the internet), using secured transfer protocol and through data replication with the central database and downloads all changes in numbers, business regulations or pricing policy and at the same time sends all information and records out, right after storing them.

Goods orders, warehouse management

• option to manage leased departments used for special goods (such as smoked meat products and meat counter operated by a foreign company within the store)

Management of relevant clerical work

• supplier account management and supplier reimbursements - sales of discounted goods at the supplier's expense, reimbursement of losses due to goods sale or due to financial credit notes
• option of maintaining the cash book (safe /vault) of the store - sales revenue directly in the vault, payments to the bank, payroll, small expenses, etc. - all user-configurable
• attendance subsystem - the possibility to manage employee attendance and the subsequent evaluation and export to payroll agenda
• system of employee benefits - reimbursement of cultural activities, admissions, holidays, etc.
• electronic attendance cards
• announcement system - periodically repeated reports (electrometer readouts, gas meter readouts, energy resources, etc.), warning at the system start, need to sign in, replication into the centre administration unit - all user-configurable

Communication between other systems

• support for wireless on-line and off-line portable data terminals (the creation of the receipt right at the ramp, inventory inspection on shelves or in warehouses, placing orders directly when at the goods, reprints of missing price tags, etc.)
• automatic communication with the weighing system of the store done in the background (utilities and self-service scales Mettler-Toledo, Digi, Dibal, Berkel, Epelsa and others)
• electronic communication (EDI, text and .dbf files)
• communication with packaging recycling machines, with price verification machines, portable terminals (scanners) of barcodes and other special hardware
• sub-system cash control, cash desk configuration and configuration of other peripherals and hardware
• information bar on the application desktop - notification of the arrival of an electronic receipt, notification of the beginning of the event, notification of a branch replication status between headquarters and the central administration unit and others
