Java is object-oriented, high-level, interpreted programming language developed by SunMicrosystems, whose subsidiary company JavSoft further develops and improves the software. It is object-oriented language based on C++.

The source code is done in Java language and transformed into bytecode format. This converted code is executed through Java Interpreter. Implementation of Java (Java runtime) interpreters is available for the majority of systems and Java is rightfully considered as a platform-independent system.

B.O.S.S. Enterprise

The financial, cash processing, warehousing / storage system B.O.S.S. Enterprise is based and built on multi-layer architecture running on the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) platform and may be run on any operational systems used in the relevant computer server as well as the client. Commonly supported OS are for example Linux (e.g. distribution of openSUSE, Fedora etc.), Microsoft Windows XP, Visat, 7, Sun Microsystems, Solars, etc.

The multi-layer architecture is based on connection of the database and the application server - B.O.S.S. Enterprise server – B.O.S.S. Enterprise client. This architecture enables connection of clients to remote databases and communication between clients via the internet.

Supported databases: Firebird, Oracle, Interbase, Microsoft SQL Server and for application servers you may use Boss, BEA WebLogic, IMB WebSphere, Borland Appserver, Sun Application Server and others.
